On 9 and 10 November 2026, the Centre for Human Rights of the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg is organizing a workshop entitled 'Absolute Rights under the ECHR at State Borders'. The workshop will focus on an exploration of absolute rights under the ECHR, in particular the prohibition of torture under Article 3 ECHR, in the context of migration, pushbacks and violence at State borders. Researchers at all career stages are now invited to submit their abstracts. Abstracts should be submitted by 10 May 2026. Below is more information on the workshop and the call for submissions:
